Support for homeless 14 to 18 year old men and women in Australia

On any given night in Australia there are 36,000 young people who are homeless; one in two young people who seek a bed from emergency accommodation is turned away because services are full.

The reason why young people become homeless vary greatly, however, research shows that nearly 50% quote relationship breakdowns with parents or step parents as their main difficulty. Many of those affected expierence financial difficulties and unemployment, as well as mental health issues, sexual or physical abuse and lack of emotional and physical support.

A Fountain of Hope

Donate now to Fountain of Hope Charity Fountain of Hope was founded in early 2008 by Anthony Lang who saw the need for a charity after he to learned how easy it was to become homeless. The organisation helps young men and women aged between 14 and 18 years of age with accomodation, allowing them to gain the opportunity to evaluate and assess their values through a safe friendly environment.

The Fountain of Hope program teaches young homeless people:

Fountain of Hope invites young men and women from all over Australia to take part in our programs. Our residential program allows young people to live at one of our residential homes for approximately 12 months.

Through participating in the program we aim to assist homeless young men and women address the emotional and physical aspects which led them to become homeless in the first place.
